In 2015，the NPC，its Standing Committee and the State Council of China respectively carried out a series of human rights related legislative activities. As a result，the National Security Law，the Counter-terrorism Law and the Law against Domestic Violence were enacted，the Food Safety Law，the Law on Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution，the Criminal Law and the Legislation Law were modified or amended，and some other human rights related laws and regulations were also enacted，amended or reviewed. While the state’s human rights related legislation has been greatly strengthened，it still has a lot of space for further improvement.
