UN peacekeeping operations are authorized by the Security Council of the United Nations，to send military personnel to conflict areas to restore or maintain the peace under the framework of the United Nations. 2015 is the 25 anniversary of the Chinese army to participate in the UN peacekeeping operations. To participate in peacekeeping operations for 25 years，China has actively undertaken the United Nations peacekeeping responsibilities and has sent more than 30000 peacekeepers. China is the country with the largest number of peacekeepers in the Permanent members of the security council. China is also the only country which ranks in the top 10 members in troops and investment for the UN peacekeeping operations. China’s active participation in the UN peacekeeping operations makes an important contribution to the world peace and the right to life and security of person of UN mission areas.
