The rights and dignity of human beings are the elements of constitutive plurality of human rights，the dignity which is hidden value standard provides moral support to the rights. We the general public still lack of self-examination and mutual understanding to human value and dignity in the recognition of human rights. Most people have awareness of dignity of human nature，and consider that each human being has dignity，but this will easily transfer to estimation of human person by effects of social conditions. The public tend to agree that each one has dignity means to be treated with respect he deserves，at the same time，it needs to possess morality and make efforts. To preserve human dignity is based on the human sense and humiliation exclusion among people. There already are higher proportions of people who consider human values from the traditional perspective of self-cultivation or without concerning the power，wealth，rank and birth. In general，Chinese public think highly of life and dignity on an equal basis. The general public’s conceptions on human dignity present a mixed state which forms a mixture of differences between idea and practice，manifests the traces of traditional values and permeates the influences of modern factors. We should devote ourselves to shape idea of human values，and construct the circumstance of mutual trust and respect and humiliation exclusion. We should give emphasis to raise the sense of belonging and identity of the weak，and effectively promote personal capabilities by inheriting traditional values and providing high-level education，to ensure and keep a space to fundamental life conditions of general public.
