The Egyptian economy is characterized with the feature of growth and under-development. The main impediments are the failure of adequate use of national resources，slow path of industrialization and the lack of new growth point. However，the Suez Canal Area Development Project and the New Suez Canal Project，formulated by President Sisi and also known as the “Great Egyptian Dream”，provide a solution to overcome these impediments，bring new hope for Egyptian economic development and open new prospect of cooperation with China in the framework of joint construction of the “The Belt and Road”.
