This report describes the main characteristics and developing tendencies of social mentality in current Chinese society，and analyses the problems reflected in social mentality. The research of social mentality consists of three parts：the first part gives a general introduction to the basic characteristics of social mentality，including mental health，life satisfaction，sense of security，sense of social fairness，social support，respect & identity，social trust & emotion. The second part mainly analyses the developing tendencies and existed problems in social mentality，including the satisfaction of social needs，social trust，class identification，group polarization，social emotion and social values. Finally，based on the characteristics and problems in social mentality，the third part also provides some policy related suggestions.
