Based on the survey conducted in seven cities （including Beijing），the study found that the general social trust had reached the level of “distrust”. From the perspectives of industry and department，the residents had the highest level of trust on government agencies，and the lowest level of trust on the business industries. From the perspective of city，the residents in central and western cities had the higher level of social trust than residents in eastern cities.
