In this paper, we used typical indicators which embodies the level of information technology to examine the status of the information technology development of Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area, and we make a objective analysis to Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area's Information Construction by comparison with the corresponding region. The results show that the level of Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area's information technology lags far behind the level of neighboring provinces and the national average level. Information poverty has become one of the major causes of the region poverty and the low level of economic development in the Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area. Subsequently, we discussed the causes of Information poverty in Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area, and proposed some countermeasures of information poverty alleviation. <<
