Songtao County is one of the only demonstration counties in Wulingshan contiguous destitute area, and one of only 10 demonstration counties in the whole country that seeking for national unity and progress. As well as, its poverty alleviation performance was significant. So, its successful experience has important reference value for other counties' poverty alleviation and national unity. This paper has analyzed Songtao County's national unity and progress activities and poverty alleviation practice from the following aspects: the countermeasures and achievements for national unity progress and poverty alleviation, the classic cases of promoting each other between national unity progress and poverty alleviation. Lastly, some experience and enlightenment from Songtao practice was summarized. <<
