Since 2007，Guangzhou’s economy has shown a trend of more sound and rapid growing. The manufacturing industries，retail and wholesale industries，and financial industry expanded rapidly. Consume demand is strong. Fixed-asset investment grows steadily. Market price increase is generally moderate and tolerable. Economic benefit of industrial enterprises increases greatly. The revenue of local government increases rapidly，and the household income growth is accelerated. At the same time，the base to keep steady and sustainable economic growth is not very solid. The benefits obtained by urban and rural residents are not enough. The city management should be continuously upgraded，etc. It is suggested that the government improve the modern industries system of the city，help to enhance the core competence of enterprises，improve the people’s livelihood and the city management. It is forecasted that Guangzhou economy will grow by 14.6 percent in 2007 and 13.7 percent in 2008. <<
