Are the relationships between donors and recipients unitary or multiple？Logically speaking，there are four types of relationships：many-to-many；one-to-many；many-to-one；and one-to-one. Each type comes with pros and cons. Through a case analysis，we find that World Vision’s benefits model for donors and recipients resembles a bell-shaped structure. The system connection in the center guarantees a smoothly-linked relationship between the large numbers of donors and recipients at the two ends of the “bell”，and，thus，fulfills the organization’s mission. Significant lessons can be taken from this model for China’s fundraising and philanthropy.
