In Russia，The first batch of social self-governing organizations was established in the latter half of 18 century.From then on，the history of Civil Society Organizations in Russia experiences four stages：the stage of rudiments and development，the stage when CPSU leaded the organizations，the stage of the rise，division and large scale development of autonomous social organizations（non-business organizations），and the stage of institutionalization and standardization.Until the end of 2006，the Russian non-business organizations number more than 600000，and they functioned in right protecting，developing，serving and charity in more than 30 fields of the country，with growing power of social influence.However，the scope and social influence of Civil Society Organizations in Russia are still under development. <<
