After the development for more than 30 years，Shenzhen has entered the stage of innovation-driven development，established a relatively complete system of high technology industry. On the whole，the core competitiveness of Shenzhen’s high technology industry is still inadequate because most of the core technologies are mastered by foreign manufacturers，although Shenzhen has special advantages such as high opening degree，relatively developed capital market，strong innovation consciousness，loose environment for regional innovation system and government’s supports to enterprise technology innovation. The important channels to promote the core competitiveness of Shenzhen’s high technology industry include：strengthening the infrastructure construction of core technology research and development，optimizing the investment and financing environments of high technology industry and improving the polices about introduction and cultivation of hi-tech talents.
