<<Recent years have witnessed an increasing number of “backflow migrant children.” Many children who live and receive education in big cities have been sent back to their hometown in the countryside to continue senior high school education and higher education. The essay researches difficulties that backflow migrant children face after they return to their hometown and explores the possibility of their continuing education. The research adopts Bourdieu’s theory of education resource and uses it to examine education resources owned by migrant families. It analyzes the education prospect of backflow migrant children from the perspective of economic, social and cultural capital. The analysis shows that for students with migrant backgrounds,it is quite difficult to utilize education resources that they have acquired from cities in rural schools. They cannot transform cultural and social capital gained in cities to useful human capital.
