Since 1979, the number of self-sponsored overseas Chinese has been increasing. Compared with the beginning of this century, the number of self-sponsored overseas Chinese has increased by ten times. The 2 million self-funded overseas Chinese have made great contributions to the prosperity of the country and the technology advancement of the society. It is shown that the activity of self-funded studying abroad has entered into the stage of prosperity development. This paper summarizes ten characteristics of the group of self-funded overseas Chinese. <<
