Utilizing a survey data of more than 700 medical workers from 14 hospitals in 7 Chinese cities, this paper analyses the complexity and special characteristics of medical work, expounds the medical personnel's compensation level, compensation gap and compensation satisfaction, etc. It also points out the problems existing in medical personnel's compensation from aspects such as the external competitiveness, internal fairness, government investment share, and performance evaluation relevance, and puts forward relevant suggestions for reform.
