The basic means of poverty alleviation in poor areas was to develop education. The comprehensive quality of laborers could be improved through education，and the intergenerational transmission of poverty could be prevented through promoting the poverty-stricken people to master the ability to get rid of poverty. In this study，Gansu Province as an example，the ideas，measures，paths and effectiveness of accurate poverty alleviation through education were introduced to provide reference for nationwide practice.
