In order to deal with the global climate change，the city as the main source of greenhouse gas emissions has become an important area for the development of low carbon economy. As the basic micro space of the city，low carbon community is the cell of low carbon society construction and an important foundation space for the construction of urban ecological civilization and sustainable development. Taking Beijing city as an example，based on the concept of low carbon community，China and Beijing city low carbon community construction processesare analyzed；the current situation of Beijing low carbon community construction issummarized；the hot issues of Beijing low carbon community construction at present are analyzed one by one；and at the end，some useful suggestions and action guide for future development of Beijing low carbon community are put forward.
