The Chinese Culture Development Index is to measure accurately the levels of culture development in different regions and areas to provide an objective foundation for understanding the development of culture in different regions and the whole nation. This Report has 5 first-grade indexes，i.e. Culture investment，Culture production，Culture Supply，Culture Communication and Culture Consumption. There are 43 secondary indexes under these five aspects. Using the evaluation system constructed through these indexes，we analyzed empirically the cultural development in 31 provinces，cities and autonomous regions of China to have the 2016 Chinese Culture Development Index and ranking in the hope to provide an accurate evaluation on levels of cultural development in different regions.
