Education on family tradition is important and 62.5 per cent mothers agree the result of education is good or quite good. 60.4 per cent mothers consider themselves to be competent mothers. The criteria for a good mother today are the following：first，be able to accompany her children to grow up happily；second，love life with an optimistic open mind；third，be her children’s role model. According to 53.9 per cent mothers，current problems with family tradition are the results of negligence in tradition education and behavior cultivation while too much emphasis is put on children’s life and intelligence training. However，46.2 per cent mothers blame the adverse social environment and conclude that it has negative impact on family education.
