Containing rich material and non-material heritage，the ancient villages in Henan Province are endowed with high aesthetic and cultural values，with their tourism market having a wide prospect. However，the present protection and development on them still make us worried，for some problems need to be solved as soon as possible. Reasonable development on the tourism resource of the historical villages and the villages famous for special landscape is a long-term and systematic project，absolutely not a short-term duty that can be finished overnight. We must strictly follow the scientific law，make full use of the successful experiences on protecting and developing traditional villages at home and abroad and adhere to the sustainable idea of attaching equal importance to both tourism development and cultural protection. Only in this way can we gradually realize our long-term effective goal of environment，economy and society，and then can our protection and development play an active role in building the cultural highland.
