As an important public infrastructure，the airport is an important factor affecting the construction of the city. With the deepening of China’s reform and development，Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport has become an important part of Guangzhou to establish the image of the international city，strengthen the city’s external contacts. Obviously，making clear theposition and development status of Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport is the basis for the construction of the International Airport and improvement of competitiveness. Based on the quantitative and GIS method，through analyzingthe aviation network and passenger transport market size of the Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport，it is expected to reveal its competitiveness in the Pearl River Delta region and relative position in the international air transport，thereby putting forward some ideas of enhancing the competitiveness of Guangzhou-Baiyun International airport.
