With the growth of car ownership in China，road safety has become a hot social topic.It has great significance to improve vehicle safety technology and improve vehicle safety evaluation system.Based on the technical background of the whole safety，this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the protection effect of the automobile safety technology and analyzes the integral safety field from the aspects of the characteristics of the collision dummy，the collision condition and the technical route of the active and passive safety technologies to overcome difficulties of the key technologies，providing the direction for the technology development of integral safety.
